Long Overdue Update
"Writing is easy. All you have to do is cross out the wrong words." - Mark Twain

I haven't written anything since December of 2021 and to those of you who may have been following my writing, I must say I am sorry for not updating in almost a year! Sheesh! Life gets busy!
While I do continue to write daily, I have hit a serious block in my next book that I may have finally overcome, and can begin work on the second draft after a long hiatus!
2022 has not been kind. Work-life (for those who forgot, I am a Registered Practical Nurse in Long Term Care) has been up and down like a yo-yo between outbreaks, staffing issues, and the general stress of the daily grind. Home life has been equally challenging.
But my revival is not to complain about life getting in the way of book writing but just to happily say hello! To say I am refocusing on getting back to the things that matter and I want to drop another few short scenes into the blog. Maybe even a teaser for the next book once I pick a good passage!
For now, here is a very sweet description of a character's inner monologue about the man they love.
"I would know him even blindfolded. His scent is a salty warm breeze and his voice is the song of the surf he loves so much. The touch of his hand calms my anxieties when all other touches have failed. The taste of his lips brushing lightly over mine is like drowning in a delicious wine. He is mine and the sight of him is like coming home and being wrapped in the warmth of his love. A love that never once faltered despite all my flaws and all the ways I have hurt others. He was my salvation."
